I accidently cranked out 2 miles at 8:17 pace on Monday, but luckly it didn't seem to have any adverse affect on my achilles. I just got going and wasn't paying any attention to how fast I was going, and it wasn't until near the end that I realized I was pushing pretty hard, and the final time of 16:34 indicated that. My achilles actually felt great the next morning, but like usual after a day off it kind of hurt again.
Wednesday, I hit the gym and did a pretty hard workout, racking up 17,000 total pounds lifted. Something in the lifting seemed to hurt my achilles a bit. I did also do a mile in 8:50 in the treadmill afterwards, but my achilles already wasn't feeling good so I kept that really short and easy.
