More bad news from the doctors, this time from a new orthopedic guy. He ordered an MRI, more anti-inflamatories, and a walking cast thing for 6 weeks. This is a metal and plastic contraption that replaces my shoe and goes all the way to my knee. It is designed to initial prevent any motion in my ankle, and then adjust for a gradually increasing range of motion. Of course I'm supposed to do absolutely nothing for 6 weeks and then check again on how it is doing.
I decided to ignore this and do a hard 2 mile tonight. I though my heart was going to explode as I finished in 15:17. At 7:37 pace this isn't much to brag about, but it is a nice step down from the 16:10 I ran on Sunday. Prior to that I did an 8:40 on the treadmill at the gym on Friday the 15th I think.
